United Visual Artists (Matt Clark)
Hidden Order
JANUARY 31-FEBRUARY 1, 2026, CASA BATLLÓ, BARCELONA
+ABOUT
Hidden Order transforms the facade of Casa Batlló into a dynamic system of light, movement, and geometry. Inspired by the invisible principles that structure nature, United Visual Artists creates an audiovisual choreography that reveals hidden patterns within Gaudí’s architecture.
+ARTOWRK
The piece evolves like a living organism in constant flux, where beams of light, rhythms, and forms emerge and dissolve, evoking cycles of creation, chaos, and renewal. The facade transforms into a field of forces where the organic and the geometric intertwine.
Accompanied by an original sound composition, "Hidden Order" creates an immersive experience where image and sound synchronize to amplify the perception of space and time.
The intervention proposes a reflection on the underlying order of the universe, exploring the relationship between nature, architecture, and technology while unveiling the invisible logic that connects all systems.
Hidden Order was projected onto the facade in February 2026, solidifying Casa Batlló Mapping as a global benchmark for contemporary digital art.
+FULL PROJECTION
—Gaudí once said that the straight line belongs to man, and the curve to God. He believed that nature is governed by deeper geometric principles. As an artist, I have always been drawn to the hidden systems beneath the surface: those structures that silently shape the world around us.

United Visual Artists— Reality and perception as a source of experimentation
United Visual Artists is a London-based studio founded and directed by British artist Matt Clark since 2003. Their practice integrates new technologies with traditional media such as sculpture, performance, and site-specific installations, resulting in works understood more as events in time rather than material objects, where light, sound, and movement are deployed experientially.
Drawing inspiration from sources ranging from ancient philosophy to theoretical science, UVA explores cultural frameworks and natural phenomena that shape our perception and cognition. Their projects investigate how we experience reality, manipulating perception and revealing the relative nature of our experiences.
United Visual Artists' work has been commissioned and showcased by internationally renowned institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts, the Serpentine Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Barbican, the Manchester International Festival, and the Sydney Biennale, among others.
Their work is part of collections such as the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain and MONA, and it evolves through an intense collaborative practice with artists, choreographers, scientists, musicians (such as Massive Attack, Battles, James Blake, or Ben Frost), and creators from various disciplines—a philosophy that was especially reflected in their retrospective exhibition "UVA: Synchronicity" (2023).
