Casa Batlló Contemporary is the Casa Batlló artistic program that connects Antoni Gaudí's legacy with contemporary artists, technologies, and languages through exhibitions, mapping, interventions, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
+PROGRAM
Casa Batlló Contemporary opened its doors on January 31, 2026, on the Second Floor of Casa Batlló, with its first exhibition. A space closed for decades that today hosts site-specific projects twice yearly.
Furthermore, Casa Batlló Contemporary opens up to the city of Barcelona every year with its iconic Casa Batlló Mapping, which in its various editions has featured artists such as Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Quayola, and United Visual Artists.
Casa Batlló Contemporary continues the innovative ethos of Casa Batlló, exploring the dialogue between past and future, and between art and architecture, imagining possible futures for Gaudí’s legacy.

Casa Batlló
Dialogues
Casa Batlló Contemporary inaugurates the Casa Batlló dialogues with a series of three conversations inspired by the exhibition Gaudí–Miró–Gomis: Deconstructed, currently on display at Casa Batlló. The sessions will take place on the 3rd floor of Casa Batlló during the months of September, October, and November.
Drawing on the connections between Gaudí, Miró, and Gomis, three dialogues between experts bring the questions raised by the exhibition into the present: how an artist's legacy is constructed, how a new perspective can transform our perception of a work, and how contemporary technologies open new ways of interpreting heritage, keeping art alive through time.

The book Gaudí – Miró – Gomis: Deconstructed expands the exhibition’s universe and delves deeper into the creative dialogue between Antoni Gaudí, Joan Miró, and Joaquim Gomis. The publication explores the connections between their works and perspectives, incorporating Tomorrow Bureau’s contemporary reinterpretation and offering a new perspective on this intersection of art, architecture, and photography.
Furthermore, for the first time, Casa Batlló is publishing a book that showcases the vision of Casa Batlló Contemporary. Written by Francesca Gavin and designed by Pony Studio (London), the publication explores the dialogue between Gaudí and the contemporary practices of Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Quayola, and UVA, spanning digital art and artificial intelligence to sound and moving images.
