Casa Batlló Contemporary
EXPANDING GAUDÍ'S RADICAL LEGACY
+ABOUT
Casa Batlló Contemporary is a living platform for contemporary creation. Here, Gaudí’s radical and groundbreaking spirit continues to inspire. We embrace him as a symbol of limitless creativity and expand his legacy through practices that reject convention and imagine new cultural futures.
+MANIFESTO
We seek dialogue between past and future, between art, architecture, technology, and culture. We commission, produce, and present projects that challenge the limits of form and thought. Casa Batlló Contemporary is not static or traditional: it is a space of openness, a laboratory for experimentation, creation, and exchange.
We believe in dialogue: where heritage meets contemporary voices. We believe in innovation: where disruptive practices bring new media and ideas. We believe in collaboration: where artists, architects, and institutions meet beyond borders. We believe in participation: where audiences live transformative experiences. We believe in legacy: where Gaudí’s vision protects creativity for today and tomorrow.
Barcelona, with its creative energy and contemporary ecosystem, is an essential part of this journey: it inspires, hosts, and amplifies each project. We create exhibitions, performances, commissions, and dialogues—permanent and ephemeral, local and global—that bring this house to life.

Casa Batlló Contemporary
Book
For the first time, Casa Batlló publishes a book that unfolds the vision, spirit, and ambitions of Casa Batlló Contemporary. Written by curator and journalist Francesca Gavin and designed by Pony Studio (London), the publication is conceived as both a critical essay and a collectible object.
The book establishes a dialogue between Antoni Gaudí's visionary architecture and some of the most influential contemporary artistic practices. Featuring works by Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Quayola, and UVA, it explores how digital art, artificial intelligence, sound, and moving images reinterpret Gaudí's legacy from a modern perspective.
