Casa Batlló Contemporary

EXPANDING GAUDÍ'S RADICAL LEGACY

Casa Batlló Contemporary is the Casa Batlló artistic program that connects Antoni Gaudí's legacy with contemporary artists, technologies, and languages through exhibitions, mapping, interventions, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Casa Batlló Contemporary opened its doors on January 31, 2026, on the Second Floor of Casa Batlló, with its first exhibition. A space closed for decades that today hosts site-specific projects twice yearly.

Furthermore, Casa Batlló Contemporary opens up to the city of Barcelona every year with its iconic Casa Batlló Mapping, which in its various editions has featured artists such as Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Quayola, and United Visual Artists.

Casa Batlló Contemporary continues the innovative ethos of Casa Batlló, exploring the dialogue between past and future, and between art and architecture, imagining possible futures for Gaudí’s legacy.

Casa Batlló Contemporary
Book

For the first time, Casa Batlló publishes a book that unfolds the vision, spirit, and ambitions of Casa Batlló Contemporary. Written by curator and journalist Francesca Gavin and designed by Pony Studio (London), the publication is conceived as both a critical essay and a collectible object.

The book establishes a dialogue between Antoni Gaudí's visionary architecture and some of the most influential contemporary artistic practices. Featuring works by Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Quayola, and UVA, it explores how digital art, artificial intelligence, sound, and moving images reinterpret Gaudí's legacy from a modern perspective.
